Dangerous Beauty Part One: Destiny Review
So I was just poking about when I saw this Mafia romance with the characters being interracial and I'm glad I read it because it's such a great read. I read the three books in four days and I was literally taking my time with them. That's how much I didn't want them to end. Nathan Salerno was about five years old when he met Carter who was three years old when Carter's father had a meeting with Nathan's father. The two kids instantly bonded and were in tears when Carter and her father had to go back home. Nineteen years later lives have changed. Nathan's mother was brutally murdered and he lived a life devoid of finding love of his own. Carter witnessed a hit on her father and fled to Hope Beach with a new identity. Carter and Nathan accidentally meet up after seeing each other since they were kids and sparks fly. I love Carter and Nathan's relationship and how they rely on each other's strength and love. Carter's past comes back to haunt her and Nathan does a absolutely great job being by Carter's side every step of the way. Towards the ending was a total shock and leaves you with a cliffhanger. This book does have annoying parts like: Black girls do not blush and the constant comments about her hair. She has long hair! I get it!!What I love about this book is family and the love and loyalty they have for one another. I especially love how Carter is a strong heroine who doesn't take ish from anyone. The story plot is very addictive and talk about the mafia men! Swoon! Nathan and his entourage are called The Five, Dante, Lucca, Kyle and Mikilo. I think my favorite alpha mafia man is Mikilo because he's just as deranged as Carter's bipolar ass. Next up is Dangerous Beauty: Mafia Princess.
