I LOVE Ms. Reynolds and her writing style. She knows how to suck me into her books and putting her overprotective, bossy, lovable but wanna strangle them Alpha men on my Boyfriend List. Kai may blow everyone off said list. He is pure Alpha Male! He's tatted up, tall, bossy, sexy, jealous and a romantic. My kinda combination for the perfect Alpha man. This story starts off with Kai meeting Myla when they were kids. He made a promise to her that he would always protect her. Flash forward some years later they were married due to a situation that Myla got into. Kai thought it would be the perfect opportunity to protect her by marrying her due to his position. He finally has her and wants nothing more than to have her all for himself. Kai is the sweetest guy despite his tough exterior. Kai is very intimidating when it comes to everyone but his family but for Myla he is a romantic Teddy Bear *swoon*. Throughout this story you fall in love with Kai and his relationship with Myla. Myla is a very independent, closed off beautiful woman who has a horrific secret that's basically come back to wreak havoc on her life. When these two get together Kai knows there's some deep dark secret that she's harboring in which she doesn't trust him to tell, but Kai is patient enough to wait until she's ready to tell him. I absolutely love how this insta-love developed into a loving, sweet and emotional relationship. It's the most heart-felt book I've read thus far (you'll know why when Myla's secret is revealed). The one that really stole the book is the lovable Uncle Frank! Oh how I love thee! Because of his antics I laughed my ass off at every other page causing me to wipe tears from my eyes. I can't wait for Distraction...Sven's story. Something tells me that it's gonna be a hot story!
