Unexpected Fate Review

What can I say about Harper Sloan? Everything wonderful. I literally devoured this book in a day...such a great read. Danielle Reid has been in love with Cohen Cage since they were wee kids. Cohen has feelings for Dani but can't act on them because he's in the service and that made it difficult for him to become attached to her because his life is understandably unpredictable. Dani and Cohen have been connected from the start and the invisible cord they have keeps tugging them together until they finally act on their feelings for one another. Let me tell you it's been one hell of night for these two. Their passion and chemistry was off the damn charts. Cohen was such a dirty talker that I loved reading every single moment of. Like her overprotective alpha father, Axel Reid, Cohen has an alpha side to him as well. He's very protective of Dani and would do anything for her. Their story was so romantic and enjoyed Cohen's sweet words and sexy, dirty times with Dani. By the way..the penis rings he kept talking about when he was 5 years old...it may surprise you of how many he has himself. Axel sometimes stole the show with being overly bearing alpha dad. He broke my heart in questioning Dani about her faithfulness to Cohen. I really wanted to slap him and was horrified that Cohen was thinking the same way. They made it right though. It got a little emotional at the end and left me with watery eyes. It was great to read about the original Corp Security men...and Sway, will always be Sway. This book could be read as a stand alone but you're really cheating yourself out of some good books!

I LOVE Ms. Reynolds and her writing style. She knows how to suck me into her books and putting her overprotective, bossy, lovable but wanna strangle them Alpha men on my Boyfriend List. Kai may blow everyone off said list. He is pure Alpha Male! He's tatted up, tall, bossy, sexy, jealous and a romantic. My kinda combination for the perfect Alpha man. This story starts off with Kai meeting Myla when they were kids. He made a promise to her that he would always protect her. Flash forward some years later they were married due to a situation that Myla got into. Kai thought it would be the perfect opportunity to protect her by marrying her due to his position. He finally has her and wants nothing more than to have her all for himself. Kai is the sweetest guy despite his tough exterior. Kai is very intimidating when it comes to everyone but his family but for Myla he is a romantic Teddy Bear *swoon*. Throughout this story you fall in love with Kai and his relationship with Myla. Myla is a very independent, closed off beautiful woman who has a horrific secret that's basically come back to wreak havoc on her life. When these two get together Kai knows there's some deep dark secret that she's harboring in which she doesn't trust him to tell, but Kai is patient enough to wait until she's ready to tell him. I absolutely love how this insta-love developed into a loving, sweet and emotional relationship. It's the most heart-felt book I've read thus far (you'll know why when Myla's secret is revealed). The one that really stole the book is the lovable Uncle Frank! Oh how I love thee! Because of his antics I laughed my ass off at every other page causing me to wipe tears from my eyes. I can't wait for Distraction...Sven's story. Something tells me that it's gonna be a hot story!
