Bound by Hatred Reveal
Coming Soon! May 1st 2015!! Maybe sooner *crosses fingers* This story is about Gianna Scuderi and Matteo-The Blade-Vitiello...can't wait for this firecracker couple!! Get acquainted with the Born in Blood Mafia series Bound by Honor followed by Bound by Duty. Here's a summary of Bound by Hatred:
When Gianna watched her sister Aria getting married to a man she barely knew, she promised herself she wouldn’t let the same thing happen to her.
Matteo – The Blade – Vitiello set his eyes on Gianna the moment he saw her on his brother Luca’s wedding, and Rocco Scuderi is more than willing to give his daughter to him, but Gianna has no intention of marrying for any other reason than love. A few months before the wedding, Gianna escapes her bodyguards and runs away. She has enough money to flee to Europe and begin a new life. But staying undetected when the mob is searching for her is a challenge that takes everything, especially as one of their best hunters and assassins is after her: Matteo Vitiello.
After six months on the run, Gianna finally settles into a tentative routine in Munich, but then Matteo and a couple of her father’s soldiers find her with another man.
Despite her pleads they kill her boyfriend, and Gianna is forced to marry Matteo. Her emotions alternating between guilt over having dragged an innocent into her world and hatred toward Matteo, Gianna is determined to make life hell for her husband. But Matteo is a master at mind games and their struggle for power soon turns into hate-fueled nights of passion.
Book Series
Let's talk real about these book series. I'm all for supporting my fellow authors and their outstanding books they put out but I get so wary of book series. Especially if the first book leaves you with the most heart-dropping, mind-numbing, mother of all cliffhangers and having to wait for the second book and even longer wait for the third and so on and so forth. So how long is too long to put out series? My thoughts are two months max at a time. It gets redundant when you begin stalking the author's page for clues on the next release date or a meme or a sign of life of the beloved sequels to said book. Sometimes it gets so frustrating when it's more than six months and there still isn't any word from the author that you put that author and series in the back burner or start blog riots for authors to get a move on and give us closure. I, myself, am a very impatient gal and I would wait till all of the series are out before even starting on that particular book or know that specific author wouldn't make you wait forever and a day for the next book to come out. I love it when authors know when their publishing multiple series they have a time table on when you should expect his/her books. It makes me confident to read the book, get that cliffhanger and having that 'expected date of the next series'. I absolutely love my authors and I know that their trying to make you anxious for their series....trust me. It works, just don't make us wait forever for our closure! How about you? How long would you wait for series?
Bound by Duty
Another great Mafia-Dark Romance by Cora Reilly! This one involves Dante – The Boss – Cavallaro, who lost his wife four years ago and Valentina, who also lost her husband. Dante thought this would be a marriage of convenience just for the simple fact that he didn't want any emotional connection with his current wife because he still loves his dead wife and he thinks that she wouldn't either because she lost her husband a little under a year. This arrange marriage has to be done so he could be Capo of Chicago, much to Dante's dismay. Dante is a very cold person and is very emotionless towards Valentina which ticked me off because Valentina is a very loyal and kind woman who is harboring a secret that could expose everything including her dead husband. That secret is that her marriage to Antonio, her deceased husband, is just for show, Antonio is gay and was in an relationship with an outsider. Talk about breaking all of the rules of the Mafia Code. The biggest secret of them all is that she and Antonio never consummated their marriage...she still is a VIRGIN! I really felt for Valentina, a woman who was married to a man that had a loving relationship with another man to being currently married to a man that is doing the same thing (but still remains faithful) and Valentina has had enough. She wants to finally be intimate with a man and she actually wants a real marriage with real feelings and I was rooting for her! I love Valentina as the heroine in this book. She's strong minded, independent and stubborn and she gets her way. A lot of twists and turns in this story and boy were there good twists and turns. Dante and Valentina's relationship progressed in this book and finally able to understand Dante's ways and you kinda feel for him as well. Valentina finally melts Dante's cold persona and he opens up to Valentina. She finally has the marriage she always yearned for. This book can be read as stand alone but personally, you're depriving yourself of a great book before and after Bound by Duty. I absolutely love love this book and can't wait for Bound by Hatred! Gianna and Matteo's story.
Bound by Honor
I absolutely loved this Mafia Romance novel, Cora Reilly done an awesome job writing her characters and bringing them to reality. This story is about Aria Scuderi and her being betrothed to Luca – The Vice – Vitiello, the oldest son of the head of the New York Cosa Nostra to ensure peace between the two families. Luca is a very gorgeous and very highly dangerous man....he has to be, since he's the next in line to becoming Capo. Aria is a virginal girl who is very innocent and very sheltered. So going from never being in an intimate with the opposite sex to marrying a man she doesn't know I honestly felt for Aria. She was of course scared out of her mind about her marriage to a man that was known for crushing a man's throat with his bare hands. I really thought Aria was going to submit and become a doormat to Luca but I was incredibly surprised by her being the heroine is this story. She was head strong and confident and I loved that she didn't keel over and give Luca her virginity because he was 'entitled' to just because she was his wife. Luca was surprising as well. He's not all hard-hearted as people pegged him to be. Of course, there was the cheating part that made me hate him a little and Aria was seemingly upset but soon brushed it off and they began their 'clean slate'. I didn't really like that she gave up so easily. I would've made him suffer a little bit more but he redeemed himself greatly but being totally sweet to Aria and taking his time to know her and Aria to know him. Luca is pure male, he's possessive, he's alpha and above all else he is a total teddy bear and overprotective of Aria and he would kill anyone that would hurt her (and he has). The story finally had some steamy scenes once Aria let Luca explore her body and when they consummated...it was extremely hot. You do anything for the people that you love and Luca finally understood the love Aria had for him when he almost lost her. The scene when he realizes this was so touching I had water in my eyes. I loved loved Bound by Honor. Out of the whole story I'm loving Gianna Scuderi, the hot-head, independent and opinionated little sister and can't wait for her and Matteo's story. Now there's a firecracker couple who's story is gonna blow everyone else's out the water and cannot wait to read it! Cora Reilly does good Mafia-Dark Romance!

I love L.A. Casey and her Slater Brothers series. What I'd like about her series is the bond of brotherhood. How the brothers would do anything and everything for each other and for their women. Keela is a novella after Alec and it takes place 13 months after the incident(s). Keela is moving out of her tiny apartment and into a bigger house with her fiancée Alec. While clearing the last items we soon find out not all is right with Keela. She's unsure now about her relationship with Alec. She's always been the independent woman who does things her way and never asks anyone for help so Alec's complete takeover of her life is suffocating her. Of course that's not her only concern. Keela is having nightmares of the events that happened at Darkness and she doesn't tell Alec either. Oy! She finally fesses up to Aideen, Bronaugh, and Branna who totally agrees with her concerns but tells her to tell him. But she doesn't. She finally breaks when Alec's 'takeover' mode irritates the hell out of her and he now knows what's been bugging her. Alec is the type of character, in my opinion, if you would express your concerns with him, he totally will understand and make it work. Which is what happens. If she would've said something sooner, like I don't know, 13 months ago then maybe everything would've been resolved then and Alec would've taken things at her pace. Then there's a lot of drama involving her uncle, exes, fights, betrayals and a positive pregnancy test? The ultimate cliffhanger is the start of the book Kane, which I can't wait to read! The Keela novella was fun to read especially with the Slater brothers always reeking havoc with the girls. I absolutely love the family dynamics L.A. Casey provides in her series. It's very heartwarming. Write Kane faster please!
